This has really been a day of extremes, from Bill's flawless performance at the Fayetteville Symphony Concert to an almost fiasco at Voodoo Moon. Bill was guest soloist at the concert and did Fall and Winter from Vivaldi's Seasons. Absolutely fantastic job!! It was great that his Dad came down from New York to hear him play. How proud he must be!
From there it was on to Voodoo Moon. Paddy and Bill were scheduled to do 2 sets; 1 on the big stage and the other in the VIP lounge. It was like a sauna on the big stage and then the VIP lounge had technical difficulties. Even under these conditions they performed three of their numbers better than I had ever heard before. Sail Away, Bloody Sunday, and Green Fields of France brought the house down. It was great seeing some old friends again. Bob Steele was there - he is blues at its best. For those heavy rockers there was Chris Cox. Of course Tip was there too. And, one of my favorites, Kenny Huffman. What a great musician!
